Artwork & File Requirements

To help us create the best finished product, please provide the highest-quality artwork you have available. Not sure whether your file is ready for production? That’s okay. We’ll review what you submit and let you know if any additional artwork preparation, design work, or embroidery digitizing is needed before production begins.

What Type of Artwork Do You Have?

Print-Ready Artwork — Included

Print-ready artwork is a clean, high-quality file that can be used for production without recreating, redesigning, or repairing the design.

For printed designs, a high-resolution transparent PNG, SVG, PDF, or other production-ready file is preferred.

Print-ready artwork is included with your order at no additional artwork charge.

Screenshots, blurry images, photos of logos, images downloaded from social media, or low-resolution files are generally not considered print-ready and may require additional preparation.

Artwork Cleanup or Recreation — $10

If you already have a design but the file is not ready for production, we may be able to clean up or recreate the artwork.

This may include:

• Removing backgrounds
• Cleaning rough or blurry edges
• Correcting minor file or color issues
• Improving image quality when possible
• Rebuilding portions of an existing design
• Recreating artwork from a low-quality image or source
• Preparing an existing design for production

Artwork cleanup or recreation fees are based on the amount of work required. We will let you know if an additional fee applies before any artwork work begins.

Custom Design Creation — Custom Quote

If you do not already have finished artwork, Tubbs & Co. can create a custom design based on your idea, wording, colors, inspiration, or other direction provided with your request.

Custom design creation is separate from artwork cleanup and is charged as an additional design service.

Design fees apply per unique design. For example, if your order includes one design on the front and a completely different design on the back, each design may require a separate design fee.

Any applicable design charges will be included in your quote before work begins.

Embroidery Digitizing

Embroidery requires a specialized stitch file that tells the embroidery machine how the design should sew, including stitch type, direction, density, sequence, and other production settings.

A PNG, JPG, SVG, or PDF may look perfectly clear and still require digitizing before it can be embroidered.

Digitizing is separate from artwork creation or cleanup and may require an additional fee depending on the design.

If you already have a professionally digitized embroidery file, please upload it with your request. We will review the file to determine whether it is compatible with our equipment and suitable for the requested product and placement.

What Files Should I Upload?

Please upload the best-quality version of your artwork available.

Preferred files may include:

• Transparent PNG
• SVG
• PDF
• High-resolution JPG or JPEG
• Professional vector artwork
• Embroidery files, if already digitized

If you only have a screenshot, photograph, or low-resolution image, you may still submit it. We’ll review the file and let you know what is needed to prepare it for production.

Artwork Review

All submitted artwork is reviewed before production.

After reviewing your files, we will determine whether the artwork is:

Ready to use as submitted
No additional artwork preparation is needed.

Needs artwork cleanup or recreation
Your design exists, but the file needs additional preparation before it can be used.

Requires custom design work
A new design needs to be created based on your request.

Requires embroidery digitizing
The artwork must be converted into an embroidery-ready stitch file.

If additional artwork, design, or digitizing fees are required, they will be communicated before that work begins.

Design Changes & Revisions

Please provide all important wording, colors, names, dates, spelling, and design instructions when submitting your request.

Minor revisions may be included as part of the design or approval process when applicable. Significant changes, new design concepts, or changes requested after artwork has been prepared may require an additional design fee.

Proof Approval

When a proof is provided, please review it carefully before approving it.

Approval confirms that you have reviewed the design, including:

• Spelling
• Names and credentials
• Dates
• Colors
• Design layout
• Artwork
• Decoration location

Production will begin after all required approvals have been received.

Once a design has been approved and production has started, changes may not be possible.

A Quick Note About Artwork

Submitting an image does not automatically mean that it is print-ready. We want your finished product to look good, so we will not knowingly produce low-quality artwork simply because a file was submitted.
